Our Story

Founder of Ooiishii, L. Junji’s journey started out because of his and the family’s love for everything Japanese. This led to his creation of Oishi Japanese Pizza in 2003 which proved to be a hit with lovers of Japanese food and cuisine in Singapore. The pizzas specially curated by L. Junji were to die for where his family and customers were concerned.

When Oishi Japanese Pizza went into a hiatus, L. Junji’s passion for re-creating something new for lovers of Japanese inspired food was rekindled. Since his love for Japanese pizza never faded, he tinkered with the idea of Japanese inspired pies infused with high quality Japanese ingredients and baked to perfection. A concept never done before in Singapore. Ooiishii is the result of this inspired creation.

In L. Junji’s mind – a pie is a pizza concealed, and a pizza is a pie revealed! Both are done with the same level of excellence and attention in the preparation, marination, and baking process.
